Seventy Nine Armed Oppositions Killed

Kabul (BNA) Interior Ministry spokesperson said Afghan security forces carrying out a series of clearing operations aiming to ensure the safety of presidential elections during the last 10 days killed 79 armed insurgents.
According to BNA report, Sediq Sediqi spokesman of interior ministry said in the framework of security programs during the last 10 days when campaigns for the elections started, police forces independently and cooperation of other security forces launching nearly 60 cleansing operations in several provinces killed 79 armed insurgents, arrested 47 along with hundreds of mines and more than six thousands kg of explosive materials.
Sediqi added, the ministry of interior is ready to accept the responsibility of Bagram prison.
In the meeting held yesterday in presidential palace it was decided to hand over the responsibility of the Bagram prison to interior ministry.
