Afghan Commandos Kill Taliban Commander In Laghman

Kabul (BNA) A commando unit of the Afghan National Army has gunned down five militants including their commander in eastern Laghman province.
Sarhadi Zwak, spokesman for the governor of Laghman province said that the insurgents were killed during a security operation in Sangara Valley of Alingar District yesterday morning.
Zwak identified the Taliban commander as Gul Khan.
Taliban had not commented on the report by the time it was filed.
Laghman is one of the volatile provinces in the east of the country where armed insurgents are operating in parts of it. They frequently target security forces and other government officials.
