Commission For Commemoration of Marshal Fahim’s 3rd Death Anniversary Holds Session

Kabul (BNA) The first session of the commission for commemoration of the 3rd death anniversary of Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim, the former first vice president of Afghanistan held here yesterday, BNA reported.
The commission has been established in line with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani’s order with Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qadam Shah Shaheem on the chair, aiming to promote the spirit of the national unity and better commemoration of the third death anniversary of the former Jihadi leader and vice president of Afghanistan, the agency added.
At the outset, Gent. Shaheem briefed the participants on their duties and responsibilities of the member of the commission, where the sub committees of procurement, cultural, security and protocols where established with majority of the members’ votes.
Meanwhile, Adib Fahim, head of Marshal Fahim foundation and first deputy to national directorate of security thanked president for establishing of the commission, adding the foundation would spare no efforts to facilitate the committees with essential facilities in the capital Kabul and other provinces.
The Ministry of Information and Culture’s representative and director of the Bakther News Agency Abdul Khalil Minawi briefed the participants on cultural committee’s activities, adding the ministry would broadcast the event through the country’s mass media, the agency concluded.
