Sixty-Seven ANP With Their Hand Weapons Joined Taliban

Qala-e-Naw City (BNA) At least 67 Afghan National Police (ANP) personnel with their hand weapons joined to Taliban in southwestern Badghis province.
The incident took place, while Taliban militants attacked on Afghan security forces checkpoints in Marchaq region, Bala Murghab district of the province.
Farid Akhyzai head of provincial council of Badghis confirmed the news told BNA reporter, the ANP personnel with leadership of Commander Akbar were under siege of Taliban militants since two days and last night they forced to join with armed rebels.
Meanwhile, reinforcement troop were reached to Bala Murghab district, but didn’t succeeded to rescue the surrounded ANP soldiers, Akhyzai added.
It has been said, there is no information about the fat and reason behind their joining to Taliban.
