Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai in a message addressed to Parwaiz Ashraf congratulated him on his election as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The message notes that I am pleased to represent the people of Afghanistan felicitate you for your election as the Prime minster of Pakistan and convey my good wishes to you and Pakistani people.
The message adds that Afghanistan and Pakistan have many common bonds and the same destiny in this region as both the countries are facing the same threat and they can by utilizing the available opportunities take steps for prosperity of their people.
Terrorism and extremism are out common threat so we should together struggle against it.
I am sure that as the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and understanding and joint cooperation comes about in the struggle against present problems and our friendly relations is further strengthened.
I wish you good health and prosperity for the people of Pakistan.
