Dr. Abdullah Asks State Organs to Provide Equal Opportunities for Persons With Disabilities

Kabul (BNA) The State Ministry for Martyrs and Disabled signed 30 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with ministries and independent organs to address the needs of persons with disabilities and families of martyrs, a statement said yesterday.
Addressing the ceremony, Chief Executive (CE) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said the MoUs would further address the problems of persons with disabilities and heirs of martyrs in the country, the statement from CE Press Office said yesterday.
Hinting to signing of the MoUs between the state organs, Dr. Abdullah asked the ministries and independent directorates to spare no efforts in practical implementation of the MoUs and bring about equal opportunities for the persons with disabilities, the statement added.
The Chief Executive went on saying that persons with disabilities and heirs of martyrs had played key role in socio-political situation of the country, adding most of them could save dozens of lives in the country.
Dr. Abdullah asked the Independent Elections Commission to ease voting opportunities for persons with disabilities in upcoming presidential elections, the statement said.
Meanwhile acting state minister for martyrs and disabled said if the MoUs were properly implemented, most of the problems of persons with disabilities and heirs of martyrs to be addressed, according to the statement.
