Kabul (BNA) The Deputy to Peace Institute of United States of America, Dr. Andrew Wilder called on Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah here in his office yesterday and congratulated him over formation of National Unity government (NUG).
Loading the NUG for taking steps to improve relations with the international community, the officials said he is hope-full that the NUG could be able to ensure lasting peace in the country. In his remarks, Dr. Abdullah said that the NUG with the support of international community and working with the neighboring states would spare no efforts in achieving peace and stability in the country. Healing the efforts of Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) in foiling terrorist activities, Dr. Abdullah said the security forces have killed and arrested numerous terrorists before conducting terrorist attacks.
According to another report, the Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah in the company of Mohammad Fahim Hashimi, head of National Olympic Committee of Afghanistan at the sideline of London Conference on Afghanistan last week also visited the Football Premier League of Britain and Exchanged views with the officials on football development in Afghanistan.
