Expulsion of Afghan Refugees From Pakistan Is Baseless: Juraat

Kabul (BNA) The spokesman for ministry of refugees and repatriation Islamuddin Juraat has rejected and termed the media reports on forcible expulsion of Afghan refugees from Pakistan as groundless.
According to BNA correspondent, some media outlets have reported that Pakistan may expel around 20,000 Afghan refugees from outskirt of Islamabad.
Juraat said that the media reports about expulsion of Afghan refugees by Islamabad are no more than a baseless propaganda.
Hinting on four joint meetings of Afghanistan, Pakistan and UNHCR, the spokesman noted that as per the agreement the refugees’ repatriation is voluntarily done.
Presently 1.6 million registered Afghan refugees and another 1 million unregistered refugees are living in Pakistan.
