Presence of Afghan Gov. Representatives in Any Peace Talks is a Must

Tuesday February 26, 2019

Kabul (BNA) The representative of US and Taliban started another round of their negotiation in Doha Qatar yesterday. The withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan and ousting the names of Taliban’s leaders from UN black list were at the agenda of their talks.
BNA political affairs analyst commenting on the issue writes the fifth round of negotiation between the representatives of Taliban and US started in Doha the capital of Qatar yesterday.
Sources affiliated to Taliban have said that in the new round of talks, the schedule of withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan and omitting the names of Taliban’s leaders from the UN black list will be discussed. But America sources have said that in this round of talks, generally peace process would be discussed.
This is with what agenda Taliban participate in Doha negotiations mostly discussed on media, but when the issue of negations raised peace is a priority and the peace on which the representatives of US and Taliban talking about its establishment and ensuring it return to Afghan government.
Most of the issues that Taliban or Afghan allies raise on peace process solving them mostly depend to Afghan government outlook and view. The sides of Doha talks if really want the rapid and true settlement of Afghan problem and restoring peace and stability In to this war torn country the presence of Afghan government representative in any talks not only required but it is necessary.
Taliban raise the issues of the withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan and ask for omitting the names of their leaders from UN black list in any negotiations.
In reality it is the right of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as a legal representative of Afghan people raise the issue of withdrawal of foreign forces with UN security council, or suggest the ousting the names of Taliban’s leaders from the black list of that organization and this is Afghan government that makes the final decision on any other agreements that take place.
If Taliban and their supporting countries, even the allied countries of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan really want peace and stability ensure in this war torn country, this is only possible when Afghan government as a legal representative of Afghan people be present in any peace negotiations.
Unfortunately, some media present the negation between America and Taliban, as this terrorist group be a government and Islamic Republic of Afghanistan its opposition this is contrary to the fact.
Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is a reality without its presence in any negotiation no improvement should be expected.
For this reason, the leadership of Afghanistan persistently insists that any decision without the presence of Afghan government’s representatives would be not valid.
