Sixteen Armed Rebels Kill

Kabul (BNA) In the recent clashes sixteen armed insurgents were killed in Nuristan and Kunar provinces.
The clashes occurred when groups of armed men wanted to attack on Afghan security forces checkpoints in Nuristan and Kunar border provinces from Pakistan soil.
A border police chief told BNA, sixteen armed oppositions including their two commanders were killed in the clashes.
According to him, armed oppositions wanted to attack on border police checkpoints in Shikal district of Kunar and Kamdish district of Nuristan provinces.
It has been said, dozens of weapons have been seized by security forces during the operation.
