Four Bus Terminals To Be Built In Kabul

Kabul (BNA) The ministry of transport and air aviation reported on building four bus terminals in Kabul.
This is while that a number of Kabul citizens have seriously been facing with transport and urban services over the last more than one and half a decade, asking the government particularly the urban services organizations to soon pay attention in the respect.
A number of Kabul residents said that building bus terminals would prevent disorders in Kabul city.
A teacher in Kabul Nouria said, “Kabul doesn’t look like a capital, because it lacks urban services and the people are not satisfied of such a situation.”
Kabul municipality and other partner organizations such as Kabul Traffic and the ministry of transport and air aviation are not working in coordination with each other, that is why we didn’t have specific bus stations over the last sixteen years and we hope building new bus terminals to help solve these problems, she further said.
Calling building new bus terminals effective, a Kabul resident, Fawad said the terminals would help prevent traffic in the city and the people would easily commute. At the same time, the spokesperson to the ministry of transport and air aviation told media that to solve people transport problems in the capital Kabul, four bus terminals would be built in Pol-e-Charkhi, Sang-e-Neweshta, Company and Kotale Khair Khana.
According to him, the work of bus terminals would kick off three months later and would be finished within two years.
He added each terminal would be built as standard at the width of 150 jeribs of land, as the land of two terminals have already been specified but the next two areas would be specified in near future.
Still the projects have not been estimated how much would cost, but there is enough budget to complete them, he added.
This is while that hundreds of bus terminals were operational in Kabul, and four zones of the country over the last years, but lack of specific places for buses have seriously faced the passengers with lots of problems.
Welcoming building specific terminals for buses, a number of Kabul citizens said lack of terminals in Kabul have caused them wait for a bus for hours, but they hope building bus terminals would help them prevent wasting of time.
