Kabul (BNA) In their meeting with president Karzai the elders of Darwaz district of Badakhshan proposed transfer of the center from Mahmy, to Jamruch area.
At the meeting Abdul Ghafour Rehmani, Mawlawi Habibullah Shaidaiee and Daulat Big spoke and they said that the Upper Darwaz district was approved during the rule of Peace Shaheed Ustad Burhanuddeen Rabani and then due to some problems the center of the district was established in Mahmy that is far away from the people and this is creating problem for the people.
So they proposed the transfer of the center of the district so that the people can easily contact the local authorities in the area.
They also proposed improvement in the education, public health and roads and asked the government authorities that the 12th graduates of the district be given special attention in providing access to scholarships abroad.
President Karzai addressing the elders and influential of Upper Darwaz district that a better future in education sector is awaiting the district children and added that the more attention is directed at education the better improvement comes about in their lives.
He added that my advice to you is that when you return to Darwaz tell people to send their children to schools so you can have doctors, engineers and specialists.
He instructed the administration affairs representative to refer the problems of the Darwaz people to the cabinet meeting where a decision will be taken accordingly.
