Kabul (BNA) 12 armed insurgents were killed 9 wounded, and 3 arrested along with quantity of weapons.
National defense ministry press office said BNA, the national army forces conducted an operation for ensuring security in the relevant areas of Maiwand district of Kandahar province, in which 6 insurgents killed and quantity of weapons seized.
Also 3 insurgents were arrested by national army forces in Chamtal district of Balkh province, 3 Kalashnikovs, 2 rocket launchers and 2 motorbikes were seized.
In another operation by national army forces in the Sayedabad district of Maidan-Wardak province, 2 insurgents killed, 3 wounded, 2 light weapons along with quantity of ammunition, 2 sets of communication, were seized.
