ANDSF Attacks on Taliban Hideouts Leaves 20 Rebels Dead

KANDAHAR CITY (BNA) As many as 20 anti-government paramilitaries have killed and six others were wounded following attacks carried out by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) on Taliban’s hideouts in southern Kandahar province.
The insurgents have been targeted within the last 24 hours in different parts of Shah Wali Koot district, Kandahar province.
Senior commander of Afghan national army in the south of the country told BNA reporter, 20 armed oppositions were killed and six others were injured during the raids.
According to another report, Afghan security forces by discovering and confiscating six round of different type of mines succeeded to prevent several bloodiest incidents in crowded areas of Kandahar province.
No individual or group has commented regarding the mine plantings so far, but local officials claimed that Taliban fighters are responsible for the foiled mine plantings.
