Kabul (BNA) Eklil Hakimi Minister of Finance and Deputy State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs participated in the Hearing Session of Meshrano Jirga (Upper House) in order to include the senators’ opinions in FY-1397 National Budget, the ministry said in a statement here yesterday.
“Ministry of Finance has received some of 38 suggestions of the senators on the FY-1397 National Budget which 16 of them are miscellaneous cases (running economic facilities, raising capacity of agriculture sector, bringing more transparency in revenue collection, searching for new sources of revenue, and better implementation of national budgets), and 22 other cases related to provincial projects that were split up from provinces” said Minister of Finance.
He has provided information about implementation of Fy-1397, revenue collection 169,133 billion in Fy-1396, development budget expenditure up to 67% at the government level and the future plans after receiving the senator’ comments and suggestions while complimenting with the comments made by the Senator for the FY1397 National budget.
The Minister of Finance has provided information to the heads of commissions in Wolesi Jirga about Fy-1397 National Budget in a separate meeting and he would also give information at Wolesi Jirga General Meeting next week in this regard.
