Elders From Some Northern Provinces Share Problems With President Karzai

Kabul (BNA)  President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai met with a number of the northern provinces, Kunduz, Balkh and Jauzjan elders and heard problems discussed by them, here in Kabul.
Representing others, Mawlavi Allah Murad spoke about the problems originated from the Amu Darya and imposed heavy devastation and harms to the nearby residents of the districts of Qarqeen, Khamabad, Kaldar and some other adjacent areas.
He said large number of houses; hundreds of acres of lands, schools and gardens are devastating from the water floods of the Amu River each year, with this year of up to 1,500 acres of land has been washed out. 
He asked the central government serious attention in this direction, as well as they shared the problems faced by them in the fields of power energy, poorly built road, health and water supply. 
Meanwhile, the president instructed the organs concerned to do what was needed for the residents of the districts and the ministry of rural rehabilitation to investigate their problems from nearer and present report to the cabinet meeting.
