Taliqan (BNA) Two men have been detained with consignment of narcotic drugs in Takhar province.
The men skillfully stored nearly 20kgs of opium in car tires and wanted to smuggle it from Badakhshan to Takhar.
General Syeed Merajuddin Sadat police official of Takhar told BNA, the two smugglers have been arrested in separate police operation from parts of Taliqan city.
The detainees in initial investigation confessed to dozens of drug trafficking in the province.
According to another report, eight people have been detained in the connection of criminal events in Takhar province.
The people were arrested in police operation from parts of Takhar province.
Takhar police say, the detainees were involved in rubbery and drug trafficking in the province.
