NUG Leaders Meet Chairman of U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met Chairman of U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Joseph Dunford at the Presidential Palace, a statement from his office said the other day.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF), fighting terrorism and regional issues, the statement further said.
Lauding the Afghan security forces efforts, particularly, the Special Forces in defending the country, Gen. Dunford said the Afghan Special Forces are the best among the regional countries, the statement added.  He also assured of his country’s continued cooperation in the field of supporting, equipping and training of ANDSF, the statement continued.
President Ghani also thanked U.S. and other international partners for their cooperation with Afghanistan in military fields, adding the Afghan Special Forces are the best forces in the region and we ask fortheir further strengthening and equipping.
Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah also met Gen. Dunford at the Sapidar Palace the other day, during which both sides exchanged views on abilities of the Afghan security forces and joint fighting terrorism.
