Afghanistan, Turkey To Bolster Cultural Relations

Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture Prof. Mohammad Rassoul Bawari met Turkish ambassador in Kabul, during which both sides discussed expansion of cultural and tourism relations, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
Stressing on bolstering cultural relations between the two countries, acting minister of information and culture asked Turkish ambassador to cooperate with his ministry on expansion of tourism industry and share its experiences on digging historical sites with Afghanistan, the agency added.
Acting minister Prof. Bawari asked Turkish ambassador to invite Turkish experts to Afghanistan and train the Afghan students in tourism section, BNA continued.
He pointed out that cooperation between the two countries should be expanded on delivering information so a positive face of Afghanistan is drawn in Turkey’s media, the agency went on to say.
Afterward, the Turkish ambassador assured of his country’s cooperation with the ministry of information and culture in cultural, tourism and delivering information sectors.
According to another report, the first session of technical committee on reconstruction of Buddha Statue was held at the ministry of information and culture the other day.
During the meeting, the participants presented their views and suggestions on reconstruction of Buddha Statue, as UNESCO representative spoke about his entity’s cooperation on preservation of historical monuments and relics.
Acting minister of information and culture asked the technical committee members to present their specific view in the respect to plan on reconstruction of the statue.
