Insurgents Once Again Create Fear In Kunduz

Wednesday October 5, 2016

Kabul (BNA) Insurgents have recently once again attacked Kunduz from four directions and occupied some parts. ANSF sources said that following arrival of commando forces in the province, most of these parts were retaken from insurgents clutch and cordon and search operations have been started. The Afghan deputy chief of general staff, four star general Murad Ali Murad who is in Kunduz said, the Taliban massive attack in Kunduz failed and after sustaining heavy causalities, they managed to escape. Gen. Murad assures that there are sufficient weapons and ammunitions in Kunduz and there are no concerns on deterioration of security situations and people can continue normal life. While the leaders of the NUG have gone to Brussels conference in Belgium to attract the world financial and political support, but the armed opponents have intensified wars in Naveh and other areas of Helmand province beside Kunduz to show their existence at the threshold of Brussels gathering to the world people.
But the ANSF have assured once again that Kunduz city is under the ANSF domination and armed opponents have been accommodated inside the locals’ houses. The Taliban cannot change Kunduz to their shelter but respectively occupation of Kunduz or other cities and districts result in heavy economic damages beside casualties. Those people who were leading peaceful life in Kunduz would lose their assets and agricultural properties and would be razed to the ground, the Afghan government particularly ANSF should make efforts that to prevent respective catching of Kunduz. A question raises here how and why the insurgents have become such strong that continue war in different parts of Afghanistan and pose Kunduz and Naveh district of Helmand to collapse. According to ANSF, the main reason behind this situation is keeping the oven of war hot by regional secret services who fund and equip armed terrorists for this purpose.
If the Afghan government intends to restore everlasting peace and security in Afghanistan, it should increase pressure on Pakistan with the help of the international community to give up support and funding of terrorists. Taliban have usually used civilian population as a shield and this time once again deployed in the private houses of Kunduz and shoot on ANSF from these civilian hideouts. ANSF have argued that in order to prevent civilian causalities they have précised their operations. We wonder what would be the effects of increasing war and Taliban massive attacks in Kunduz on the eve of Brussels conference to get the world financial and political support but deterioration of security situation is a big problem that have disturbed development budget beside other problems. So far the Afghan government has invested 35pc of development budget. The Afghan leaders besides requesting financial support, demand full attention of the world for funding and equipping of the ANSF to dominate the war and the armed insurgents don’t manage to pose collapse the Afghan districts and villages. Last year on the Sep 27.2015 the Kunduz city collapse at the hands of Taliban for three days and huge damages and casualties were inflicted due to wars of ANSF and Taliban insurgents.
