Mazar-e-Sharif (BNA) Eleven Taliban insurgents were killed in airstrikes and artillery fire in Balkh yesterday.
Mohammad Hanif Rezayee spokesman for the 209 Shaheen Corps, told BNA that five militias of Mowlawi Matiullah, the shadow of Taliban for Balkh were killed in an airstrike in Zikzik village, Chahar Bolak district of Balkh province.
Rezayee added that six other Taliban fighters were killed by artillery fire in Baba Yusuf village of Balkh district in Balkh province.
Another report says, members of the 209 Shaheen Corps exploded a mine planted by Taliban in Gortapa region, Chahar Boldak district, Balkh province far from residential houses.
