Kabul (BNA) Independent Election Commission started ‘voter’ confirmatory registration processes for upcoming presidential elections a move that is a good step in the respect, BNA reported.
In fact, this can be the first and a key step to bolster democracy and citizens’ partnership in upcoming elections. Unfortunately, last year failure in voters’ registration process for parliamentary elections had caused to decrease people’s partnership in the process, particularly, in the capital Kabul and its aftermath could be felt by all. Thus, using last experiences, the people and government of Afghanistan expect the Independent Election Commission to pay serious heed on proper management and completion of voters’ registration process. Likewise, we hope the people to widely do their responsibility and participate in upcoming elections. Furthermore, government officials, media, ulama and civil entities are expected to cooperate in this regard.
