Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of Information and Culture condemning the recent beating of journalists in the country asked punishment of the perpetrators of the incident, but Radio Ashna, Voice of America (VOA) releasing an unilaterally report claimed that the Ministry of Information and Culture has kept its silence in that regard.
Minister of Information and Culture himself is following the incidents and while condemning violence against journalists, the Minister asked relevant security organs to investigate the incident seriously.
The Ministry of Information and Culture has reacted soon after a journalist was beaten by Parwan governor’s guards and hitting of two other journalists in Pul-e-Khumri, capital city of Baghlan and condemned the incidents by releasing a statement and asking for investigation in this regard by delivering formal letters tothe Ministry of Interior and judicial organs.
The statements have been broadcast through Bakhtar News Agency, National Radio and Television and government newspapers.
Unfortunately, Radio Ashna of VOA ignoring all those efforts in its morning news bulletin said the Ministry of Information and Culture kept its silence in this regard, which surprised MoIC.
