Sharan (BNA) The construction of large Pelto water dam in Paktika has begun.
This dam will be built twelve kilometers from the city of Sharan and after its construction, it will be able to irrigate up to two thousand five hundred hectares of peasants’ fields.
The National Water Regulatory Authority makes this big dam.
An official at the office told BNA that the construction of the Pelto dam is still in the early stages and is expected to be operational in two years.
He said that with the construction of this dam, the water needed for two thousand five hundred hectares of fields of thousands of farmers in Paktika will be supplied.
