Kabul (BNA) Dr. Zalmai Rassoul Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan received Mr. Mehdi Aakhundzadeh, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic republic of Iran.
The two sides discussing and exchanging views on different issues expressed hope that the joint commission tasked with bookkeeping and modernizing of the border instruments and signs, will be able to reach positive outcomes, and secure and strengthen peace and stability on the borders of the two countries.
Mr. Aakhundzadeh arrived in Kabul yesterday as the head of a high ranking Iranian delegation to participate in the second meeting of the said commission which is due to take place today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The delegations of the two sides will be headed by Mr. Jawed Ludin, Deputy Foreign Minister and Mr. Mehdi Aakhundzadeh.
