10th Afghan-Pakistan Parliamentary Delegation Meeting Held

Kabul (BNA) The tenth meeting of the Afghan-Pakistan parliamentary delegation with respect to creation of joint approach for peace and struggle against terrorists ended in Islamabad with issuance of a statement.
The Afghan delegation led by Mirwais Yaseni first secretary of Lower House and membership of Abdul Latif Padram head of the central inspection and supervision commission for implementation of law, Alem Qarar and Sakhi Mushwani members of the commission for internal affairs, Allah Gul Mujahid and Mahmoud Khan Sulaimankhail members of the complaint commission of the Lower House and Ajmal Waziri chairman of provincial of administrative affairs and secretariat of the council of ministers in their meeting with Pakistani parliamentary delegation led by Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao member of the national assembly and head of the friendship group of Pakistan-Afghanistan at the Pakistani National Assembly discussed issues pertaining to peace, stability and joint struggle against terrorism and regional issues.
Mirwais Yaseni at this meeting said that terrorism is a joint threat and a serious challenge before the two countries, and emphasized that peace is the need of both countries asking the Pakistani government to launch serious struggle against the main hideouts of terrorists.
Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao called start of talks between the two delegations the basic need under the present conditions and urged the participants to express their viewpoints clearly with respect to issues of interest.
Abdul Latif Padram, Allah Gul Mujahid, Mahmoud Khan Sulaimankhail, Alem Qarar and Sakhi Mushwani members of the Afghan delegation also spoke and advanced their views and proposals aimed at expansion of parliamentary ties, peace methods of struggle against terrorist hideouts on both sides of the borders of the countries, consolidation of bilateral trade relations, the civil society role in expansion role in expansion of friendship and sharing of security information and mutual cooperation, adding that stability in Afghanistan causes stability in Pakistan as well and without joint cooperation they cannot achieve their aims.
The Pakistani side also expressed their views and proposals about the issues of mutual interests.
The meeting continued for two days, and the sides heard views of each other and issued a statement that reads in part:
_No terrorist activities should be used from Afghanistan and Pakistan territory against the other and mutual allegations must be stopped.
_Both countries should stretch the hand of cooperation to solve the prevailing issues after 2014, so peace stability to be maintained in South Asia.
_Members of both countries’ responsibilities towards improving of bilateral ties through monitoring the foreign and security policies and the parliamentary committee should play their helpful role.
_Both government should not satisfy on mere condemning of terrorist activities and think beyond their publicity limits and undertake positive measures in struggle against terrorism.
_Both government should make use of peaceful methods in respect to struggle against terrorism, removal of differences in bilateral relations.
_The working group of friendship in Afghan and Pakistan parliaments should create facilities for future talks on the basis of which parliamentary diplomacy and bilateral ties improve in accordance with the social, political, and cultural standards.
The members of the delegations at the end of the meeting attended a joint press conference and discussed issues taken up between the two delegations and answered reporters’ questions.
