U.S. To Support Formation Of A Council To Supervise Election Process, Ambassador

Kabul (BNA) CE second deputy, Hajji Mohammad Mohaqiq in a meeting with US ambassador in Kabul John R. Bass discussed issues pertaining recent changes, security, development, election process and other related issues, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported the other day. 
Thanking the US assistances in different arenas such as development, security and democracy, CE second deputy Hajji Mohaqiq wished success to US new ambassador during his mission in Afghanistan, according to BNA.
Welcoming the US new strategy on Afghanistan, CE deputy said the strategy’s positive points were that it is not limited to time and depends to the country’s situation, an action that would be effective in fighting terrorism, BNA added.
He said the Afghan people supported peace and democracy in the country, the agency went on to say.
Pointing at terrorist groups’ deadly attacks on religious places, he said that as a result of seventeen deadly attacks, over 1200 civilians have been martyred and injured, the agency continued.
Then, the US ambassador while thanking the CE deputy for his comprehensive and detailed views, said your views would fundamentally help us in future.
He said the US wanted a system within which everyone is given right to take part in political decisions. He added we support formation of a council to supervise the elections process and be in favorite of political parties and people of Afghanistan.
