Kabul (BNA) President Ghani spoke with Afghan National Football Team members and coach over the phone yesterday morning, congratulated them the recent victories in the South Asian Championship.
Besides thanking the tireless efforts made by the national football team, the president called them Afghanistan’s honor that has raised the country’s flag and name in the world.
According to the phone description of the presidential press office, the president has said to the team members that he along with Afghan nation will watch the final match against India and would pray for their success. The president also noted that fair competition brings solidarity and the country’s athletes’ achievements reflect a new picture of Afghanistan to the world.
