NPC Approves 11 Contracts worth Over 2.22 Billion Afghani

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, National Procurement Commission (NPC)’s meeting was held yesterday at Presidential Palace. According to BNA report, in the meeting, 12 procurement items were reviewed and as a result 11 contracts worth more than 2.22 billion Afghani were approved.
The approved projects included the approval of construction project of 2nd lane of the 25.6km Bagram-Jabal Seraj road, provision and procurement project of two firefighter trucks for Farah and Nimroz custom houses, procurement of 186 items of necessary medical solutions and laboratory regents for health HQ of MoD, contract project of 37 equipment items for 9 block network of Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim Defense University, procurement of 13 grain items for HQ, provinces and units of 202nd Shamshad zone for five months and procurement of 2624 tons wheat seeds for six provinces including two contracts of MoI. Discussing in connection with medical solution and laboratory regents of MoD, President Ghani instructed the ministry of defense to put the issue of health and treatment of ANA personnel in its working priority. Meanwhile, report for establishment of national procurement institute and report of visiting tasked delegation of general directorate of national procurement authority of UK were delivered to the meeting.
