Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani paid a visit to Helmand yesterday to review security condition in the province.
In his speech in a ceremony held in 215th Maiwand corps, President Ghani praised the corps’ personnel for their bravery and sacrifices. Addressing the corps’ personnel, the country’s President said, “As armed forces’ supreme commander of the country, I am proud of the armed forces’ personnel sacrificing their life for protection and defending the country.”
While praying to the souls of the martyrs of 215th Maiwand corps and wishing urgent recovery to the injured, President Ghani said the people of Afghanistan were thankful for your bravery and boldness in defending each inch of this soil. “We are the real inheritors of Islam because we are making effort every day for maintaining peace and security in the country,” Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said, adding, “The enemies of Afghanistan have no vision for this soil and you fighting not only for stability, development and tranquility of your country but also for peace and tranquility of coming generations and your this fight is justified and the right is always winning on wrong.” “Those saying that Afghanistan is in danger should think again because our national security and defense forces are defending this soil by unprecedented sacrifices,” President Ghani added. The country’s President said he as the armed forces’ supreme commander was responsible to give the right of your sons and families of those personnel who have been martyred and injured. Congratulating the holy month of Ramadan to all personnel of the respective corps, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani hoped that their worships would be accepted by the Almighty Allah and peace and stability would be maintained in Afghanistan. In the ceremony, commander of 215th Maiwand corps Lt. Gen. Mohammad Mueen Faqir spoke and said that personnel, officers and soldiers of the corps assured the armed forces’ supreme commander of bravely defending each inch of the country as this was their responsibility and they had the support of Almighty Allah and the people of Afghanistan.
