How To Welcome Ramadan

Kabul (BNA) Muslims all over the world anticipate the arrival of the holiest month of the year, Ramadan, during which, they from all continents unite in a period of fasting and spiritual reflection. The ninth month of the Islamic calendar, each year Muslims spend the ninth month of the Islamic calendar observing a community-wide fast.
The annual fast of Ramadan is considered one of the five “pillars of Islam. Muslims who are physically able are required to fast each day of the entire month, from sunrise to sunset. The evenings are spent enjoying family and community meals, engaging in prayer and spiritual reflection, and reading from the Quran. The fast of Ramadan has both spiritual significance and physical effects. In additions to the basic requirements of the fast, there are additional and recommended practices in order to gain the most benefit from the experience. The Ramadan fast is vigorous and there are special rules for those who may find it physically difficult to participate in the fast. The fast verses of the Quran were revealed during the month of Ramadan, and the very first word was: “Read” During the month of Ramadan, as well as other times during the year, Muslims are encouraged to read and reflect on God’s guidance.
So, the holy month should be observed with fast, which prevent those observers from wrongdoing and what is against ethic, in addition, provide the fasting Muslims with admirable habits such presenting charities to other believers and needy people during the whole thirty days. Anyone, during the holiest month, should keep away from committing wicked trends, besides refraining from eating and drinking. Muslims in Afghanistan, still suffering much from the last several years of war and skirmish imposed by other anti-Afghan peace circles, are impatiently waiting for a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere under which they could observer fast during the holy month and do much for their country’s interests though adopting noble Islamic culture and implementing it in their society.
The Taliban who had not still respite any action against the people even during the holy month of Ramadan are asked to deeply study what the Holy Quran had instructed them and what they should do to be correspondent to the Islamic religion teachings. They should refrain from killing Muslims and opt the real teaching of the holy Islam, because such action had defamed Islam around the world.
