First National Climate Change Committee’s Session Held

Kabul (BNA) Mustafa Zahir, head of national environment protection authority in first national climate change committee’s session held yesterday said that Afghanistan was one of the most vulnerable countries from climate change point of view.
Speaking in the session, head of national environment protection authority added that national climate change committee has been formed based on decree of the country’s President and after Paris climate change treaty the aim of which was to prevent climate changes in Afghanistan. He further said that Afghanistan was in top from the aspect of climate changes and his authority was determined to spare no efforts in this regard.
In the session, deputy minister of finance, administrative and tourism for information and culture Sayeda Mojgan Mustafavi asserted that MoIC in coordination with relevant institutions was ready to launch public awareness program for the people related to climate changes in the country.
