Latest Clashes Leaves 21 Anti-government Militias Dead in Kandahar

Kabul (BNA) As many as 21 armed oppositions were killed and six more were wounded during conflicts with Afghan security forces in southern Kandahar province last night.

The insurgents have been targeted while they wanted to launch attacks on Afghan security forces’ checkpoints in Arghandab and Spin Boldak districts of the province.

Maiwand army corps reported, 21 Taliban fighters were killed and six more were wounded following the clashes.

According to another report, a weapon storage belonged to Taliban group have been discovered by Afghan security forces in Maiwand district of Kandahar province.

Several mines, bombs and some ammunitions and explosive materials have been seized from the storage.

No one was arrested accused of the case.
