Kabul (BNA) 9 Taliban militants were killed in a special operation led by Afghan Commando forces in Kandahar province.
Ministry of Defense press office spokesman reported BNA, Afghan National Army Commando forces launched a special operation to annihilate armed oppositions in relevant areas of Band Temor region, Maiwand district of Kandahar province, as a result 9 insurgents were killed, 5 injured and several other insurgents were arrested.
Some heavy and light weapons, ammunition, war equipment and a motorcycle have been seized by Afghan forces following the operation.
Also a notorious commander of Taliban militants, who involved and has active role in most insecurity in Matakhan district of Paktika province, was killed during a clearing operation conducted by Afghan National Army forces.
