Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in a meeting of the Council of Ministers, rejected any deal with the IS, also known as Daesh in Afghanistan and called the outfit the enemy of the people of Afghanistan, BNA reported. “Daesh is taking victims from among the country’s people on daily basis and recently the rebels leader along with many of his colleagues who committed numerous crimes in the Kabul and the country’s east, was killed by the country’s security forces, in the eastern province of Nangarhar,” said the CE. Focusing on the recent terrorist activities in the country and instructed the security officials for seriously following the incidents and identity of the elements behind attack on Mauod training academy, Nangarhar incident and mortar attack on the Presidential Palace, according to the statement.
He said the system leadership has trust on the security organs and the officials should enjoy such trust to effectively handle their duties and responsibilities.
Touching on the resignation of Mohammad Hanif Atmar, ex-national security advisor, Dr. Abdullah wished him more success in his next affairs and said despites some political differences we had, Mr. Atmar was one of the country’s successful figures of the National Unity Government who could represent the country in the regional and world security deals. The CE went on as saying that peace was the real rights of the people of Afghanistan and that recently the government offered a conditional ceasefire with the Taliban but, the militants rejected it. He thanked the countries who making struggling for peace in Afghanistan, but noted that the process shouldn’t be diverted of its main route. “Peace talks should be led and owned by the Afghans.” According to the statement, no one had the right to interfere in the election process and that the leadership of the national unity government was committed to holding a fair and transparent election process.
The CE heard details by the minister of refugees and repatriates, about the deportation of up to 400,000 Afghan refugees from Pakistan and failure of the Iranian officials to register all one million Afghans residing in this neighboring country, the CE said he would assess the issue related to the refugees in the neighboring countries with the ministries of refugees, foreign affairs and the central statistics in the next meeting. The CMs’ meeting concluded with focus on the reports by the security officials about the casualties inflicted on the Daesh leader and fighters in Afghanistan and the Taliban death toll in the deadly Ghazni incident and other issues related to agenda, the statement said.
