Kabul (BNA) Security forces have eliminated 14 armed militants in some parts of the country over the past 24 hours during a series of operations, Interior Ministry said in a statement yesterday.
Police in the operations backed by other security organs and conducted in Kabul, Nangarhar, Nimroz, Helmand, Ghazni and Paktia provinces, four militants were injured and seven others made captive.
A number of arms and ammunitions including explosive materials have also been sized by the security forces, it further said.
Police in Kabul have detained four persons on charge of involvement in criminal activities and 9 kg opium discovered in Nimroz province the other day and police arrested two people in this case.
