Kabul (BNA) Salahuddin Rabbani, Minister of Foreign Affairs met Monday with his Saudi Arabian counterpart Adel al-Jubeir at the sideline of 70th UN General Assembly.
In the meeting, minister of foreign affairs first expressed his sadness over recent incident happening during Hajj ceremony leaving hundreds of pilgrims died and extended condolence to the Saudi Arabia’s foreign affairs minister.
Minister of foreign affairs also briefed related to current situations and the government of Afghanistan’s peace efforts. Following, the Saudi Arabia’s foreign affairs minister while considering his country’s foreign policy and close cooperation with Afghanistan as significant asserted his country was supporting the Afghan peace efforts and ready to cooperate with Afghanistan. At the end, minister of foreign affairs asked Saudi Arabia for cooperation in issuing visa to Afghan laborers. In replying to the request, the Saudi Arabia’s foreign affairs minister suggested that labor ministries of the two countries should contact in this regard and hold discussions related to framework of the cooperation.
