Turkey Ready To Cooperate Afghanistan In Security, Reconstruction Sectors: Dr. Abdullah Tells CM Session

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the Council of Ministers (CMs) held session the other day, CE office said in a statement.
At the outset, pointing at the country’s security incidents, CE Abdullah said a Taliban center has recently been targeted in Dasht-e-Archi, where key Taliban individuals have been killed, the statement further said.
He added unfortunately, we had also witnessed civilian casualties.
He said much have been done over the last years to prevent civilian casualties, the statement added.
He said Pakistani and Turkish Prime Ministers came to Kabul this week, during which bilateral relations and cooperation were discussed.
As the NUG leadership’s meeting with Pakistani PM was optimistically done, CE Abdullah said we were interested to solve the problems and hope that country to practically step up on tackling the challenges, the statement went on to say.
Dr. Abdullah said, “An agreement on seven principles signed between President Ghani and Pakistan PM. But it doesn’t mean both sides are in the same situation. We are definitely in a different situation. Besides, defending Afghanistan and our people is our responsibility.”
He also briefed the session about his meeting with Turkish Prime Minister and said Turkey would cooperate with Afghanistan in security, services and reconstruction sectors.
CE Abdullah pointed out at holding economic commission that would be held on May between the two countries, saying economic cooperation commission has not been held since 2005.
Pointing at Independent Human Rights Commission report on children harassment, Dr. Abdullah said it was a shocking news. The relevant organs should review and evaluate the report and take necessary measures in the respect, CE Abdullah said.
He said presence of children in security forces’ ranks and public uprisings was intolerable. He added the government’s policy is clear in this regard and security organs should seriously make effort in its implementation. Touching to international organizations’ report, Dr. Abdullah said this year, drought rate has increased, an action that needs preventive measures to tackle.
Afterward, according to agenda, security officials presented their report about the country’s security situation.
Likewise, the minister of public health presented ‘Road Safety Proposal’ to the meeting.
According to agenda, head of administrative reforms and civil services commission presented his administration’s performance report related to last and current year.
Construction of a reckless apartment in cultural area of Bamyan province was also reviewed during the meeting.
Likewise, the minister of commerce and industries briefed the session about ‘Business Report’ in 1396.
He added the trade cycle in 2016 was over 7 million and in 2017,it was over 8 million.
Minister of hajj and religious affairs briefed the session about procurement process of hajis’ transferring to Saudi Arabia, during which CE Abdullah said he would personally chase the issue.
