Kandahar (BNA) An airstrike in Kandahar killed 28 Taliban insurgents, including several Pakistani fighters and wounded five others.
The Taliban were targeted this morning when they attacked security checkpoint in Dand district.
Twenty-eight Taliban insurgents were killed and five others were wounded in the airstrike, Atal Army Corps in the south of the country said in a news release.
In the past month, the Taliban have suffered heavy casualties in Kandahar.
Most of these casualties were caused by airstrikes.
