Lashkargah City (BNA) A senior commander of Taliban militants was arrested during a special operation led by Afghan security personnel in southern Helmand province the night before last.
Mullah Aqa Mohammad deputy military commission of Taliban in Helmand, Kandahar and Urozgan provinces was detained during the operation in Helmand province.
Ahmad Jawed Salim spokesperson of Afghan Commando Forces said BNA reporter, Mullah Aqa Mohammad was arrested, while he was busy on a series of terrorist and destructive activities in his hideout.
It has been said, several other insurgents were killed during the operation as well.
Several weapons have been seized from his hideouts too, the source added.
