Kabul (BNA) A session was held yesterday in counter narcotics ministry in connection with implementation of Afghanistan national action plan.
In the session chaired by minister of counter narcotics Salamat Azimi and attended by deputy ministers and representatives of a number of relevant ministries and organizations, implementation of the country’s national action plan for counter narcotics and finding better ways to counter narcotics and replacing useful plants instead of poppy were discussed.
Minister of counter narcotics spoke related to modality of counter narcotics, cooperation and coordination of relevant ministries and organizations towards counter narcotics and implementation of the action plan, asking for active participation of the relevant organs in this regard.
Meanwhile, deputy minister of publication affairs for information and culture Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi while considering counter narcotics and implementing plan of Afghanistan national action for counter narcotics as significant, saying that her ministry would allocate a column in one the ministry’s newspapers to aware the people of drugs’ harms and counter narcotics. Mostafavi also assured of MoIC’s cooperation for delivering messages and public awareness in connection with harms of drugs, modification of regulations and laws in this aspect.
