HRW: Biden seeks to Grasp Afghanistan’s assets

Kabul (BNA) Human Rights Watch has reacted to the US decision on Afghanistan’s assets by Joe Biden’s claims seeking to grasp Afghanistan’s assets.

The institution released a declaration on Friday calling Biden’s action in this regard a punishment for the Afghan people.

In a controversial decision, Joe Biden said that $3.5 billion of Afghanistan’s in frozen assets would be allocated to the families of the victims of the 9/11 attacks, and the other $3.5 billion would be spent on the Afghan people through international humanitarian agencies.

Criticizing the decision, Human Rights Watch said the United States should not punish the Afghan people.

The Islamic Emirate also criticized the US decision, saying that deducting Afghanistan’s monetary to the victims of the 9/11 attacks is a “robber.”

With the fall of the previous government, at least nine and a half-billion dollars of Afghanistan’s assets in frozen.

Experts say that no country has the legal right to grasp another country’s assets
