Kabul (BNA) Talking on the better celebration of the new year’s festival, the authorities of MoI said that usually every year a security plan is prepared by ANSF for peaceful marking of this traditional event.
This year also essential security preparations have been adopted for 1395 new year celebration in the light of it our countrymen and women are assured to mark this festival with peace of mind. Deputy spokesman of MoI Najeeb Danish said as per previous years, the MoI in close coordination with security departments has taken certain measures and security plans for peaceful marking of new years’ festival in which the highest focus has been made on the northern provinces specially Mazar-i-Sharif city in which thousands countrymen and women from throughout Afghanistan attend this traditional festival.
He added, MoI tries to provide security for crowded areas especially Mazar-i-Sharif. The high way leading to the north is very important to us and we have set up permanent CPs along it and would deploy mounted patrols as well. Talking on the launching of operations in adjacent district and provinces of Balkh, the MoI deputy spokesman added recently planned operations led by provincial governor of Balkh Atta Mohammad Noor as organized in different districts of Balkh province with the contribution of ANA, ANP, NDS, ANCOP and Border police. These operations were successful and today there are no threat warring in this area and people can go to Northern Province with full confidence without any concern. Danish emphasized that all ANSF units have been alerted in Samangan, Baghlan, Balkh, Kunduz provinces plus reserve troops.
He went on to say, MoI has established temporary medical centers along northern highway to tackle people emergency needs. One of the concerns of our people was on the next spring offensive of insurgents. We have carried out many cordon and search operations in this province. For example Dand Shahabuddin and Dand-e-Ghori which were powerful strongholds of Taliban were cleared and swept from enemies which are a good achievement for ANSF and people cooperation and coordination of other security branches for celebration of 1395 new year’s festival. With its implementation, security situation will be absolutely improved considerably, and I want to assure the people that their ANSF are ready to provide reliable security for Afghan people. Talking on the people cooperation, Danish said people cooperation has improved than the previous years with security forces particularly ANP and its very effective.
