Afghanistan Condemns Pakistan’s Zero-Point Provoking Military Ceremony

Saturday, November 26, 2016
Kabul (BNA) Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in a statement reacted against what it said a Pakistani military ceremony launch at the zero-border with the imaginary Durand Line and called it provoking and against the previous mutual commitments, said a statement.
The provoking special military ceremony with the Pakistani flag-hoist in Chaman region at the zero point of the Durand Line is an unfair measure adopted by Pakistan, while the two countries’ relations have reached sensitive stage. “the relations between the two countries are feared to go critical by the recent provoking momentum of the neighboring country, while both sides has long background of friendly ties,” said the statement. Pakistan might have been concentrating its all-out efforts on cooperating with Afghanistan in war on terror and extremism to remove the main obstacle before peace and stability in both countries and the region, instead of resorting to such provoking military momentums, said the statement. The statement went on to also oppose the recent measure of the neighboring country against the Pakistani authorities to force the tribes residing in other side of the imaginary Durand Line to receive visa, when willing to travel to Afghanistan. The plan was a unilateral decision and pose against the diplomatic traditions for the two sides of the Durand Line residents, said the statement concluding this was impossible to forcedly separate people from each other.
