Kabul (BNA) Ex-President, Hamid Karzai and the Former Vice- Presidents, Mohammad Younus Qanooni and Mohammad Karim Khalili called on the Acting President, Sarwar Danesh and congratulated him over assuming office as second vice-president.
The ex-president and his entourage also wished success to the new government and hoped that Afghanistan embraces lasting peace under the new leadership. Besides wishing long life for the former president and the ex-vice presidents, the acting president said that the country’s achievements are the outcome of the outstanding leadership of Karzai and his vice-presidents.
The acting president also noted that the new government would do its best to ensure durable peace and security in the country.
