Kandahar (BNA) Four mine planters were killed following their own mine explosion in southern Kandahar province the night before last.
Samim Ekhpelwak spokesman of Kandahar governor told BNA reporter, the persons were involved while making mine in their hideouts, as a result of own mine explosion lost their lives in Band Temor area, Maiwand district of the province.
There were no any casualties to civilian following the blast, the source added.
According to another report, two Taliban militants were killed and two others were injured during a military operation led by Afghan security forces in Maiwand district, southern Kandahar province.
Samim Ekhpelwak spokesman of Kandahar governor said BNA, the military operation was launched in relevant areas of Golo Jaan region of Maiwand district, in which two insurgents were killed and two others were wounded.
