NSC Approves ANDSF 4-Year Development Plan

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Security Council (NSC) held meeting the other day, the President Press Office said in a statement.
According to the statement, the NSC in the meeting approved a 4-year development plan for the Afghan National Defense and Security forces (ANDSF) in principle.
The plan was approved after the National Security Council members reviewed it thoroughly and held in depth discussion over it, the statement added. Likewise, in the meeting, the NSC reviewed the security situation of some key provinces, including Helmand, Nangarhar, Urozgan, Farah, Kandahar, Ghor, Faryab, Badghis and Kunduz provinces, the statement continued. Lauding the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces efforts in fighting terrorism, the NSC instructed the relevant security institutions to take necessary measures for improvement of security situation in the country, the statement went on to say. At the end, the meeting also focused on security situation of capital Kabul and its districts as well as tasked the relevant security entities to take necessary steps for preventing incidents in the city and other districts of Kabul.
