KABUL (BNA) The Ministry of Disaster Management says they have distributed aid to 1,516 needy families in 5 provinces of the country, in a week.
The aids include cash, food, and non-food items and were distributed to families that were affected by the earthquake and the recent floods in the country, said the Ministry.
The ministry has been able to assist 518 families in Badghis, 390 families in Uruzgan, 300 families in Ghazni, 200 families in Takhar, and 108 families in Nangarhar, according to the statement.
The aids include flour, rice, cooking oil, salt, biscuits, baby food, soap, blankets, household items, tents, tarps, lines, carpets, gas balloons, and other materials.
Meanwhile, the officials of the Commission for the Arrangement of aids and assisting the Earthquake Victims announced in a press conference in Kabul that 120 were killed and 152 others were injured in the past month in 21 provinces of the country, the cause of the flash floods .
Adding more than 3 thousand residential houses and thousands of acres of farmlands have been damaged and thousands of livestock have been destroyed.
Meanwhile, the victims demanded that relevant bodies and national and international aid organizations provide them with humanitarian aid.
