World Children Day Marked

Kabul (BNA) The World Children Day was marked with the reading out of President Hamid Karzai’s message in a ceremony held by the ministry of information and culture here yesterday.
According to BNA correspondent, in ceremony the message of president was readout by Timor Shah Ishaqzai the Deputy Information and Culture Minister on Youth Affairs wherein the president noted that the situation of children had been very much improved today than 12 years ago.
Speaking at the ceremony, the minister for information and culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, stated that besides progress towards serving the children had been made over the past 13 years, still much laying ahead, saying the children are vulnerable and need more attention.
The teens and children who are involved in child labor to support their families should be identified and take action for solving their problems.
Dr. Raheen in his speech expressed hope that the agency supporting children and partner bodies to collect the data of street children in Kabul and other cities, saying finding the number of street children can help the government to seek solution for their problems.
