Kabul (BNA) A representative of World Peace Federation (WPF) called on second vice president Sarwar Danesh and briefed related to effort and operation of the organization.
In the meeting, the WPF representative said that peace award of the federation of the year would be granted to an Afghan woman and an Italian citizen currently working in Afghanistan. According to the WPF representative, it is determined that Sakina Yaqobi, an Afghan citizen will get the award and the award will be a kind of help in peace in Afghanistan. Expressing happiness over granting the federation’s peace award to an Afghan woman, the WPF representative asserted that the federation has previously granted awards to former leaders of Afghanistan government in good governance section. Afterwards, second vice president said that achieving peace was difficult in today’s world, but it was the duty of all to make effort for maintaining peace and tranquility. Danesh by expressing happiness that peace award of the world peace federation would be granted to an Afghan woman added Afghanistan women had further suffered due to war and insecurities during the past long years, but despite all such problems, Afghan woman were in good conditions and have considerable achievements in various fields.
